Welcome, you’ve stumbled into the drama that they call prostate cancer…
Grab a seat, pop a helmet on, it's one hell of a ride! 🚀
I got diagnosed with prostate cancer back in 2021 (at the tender age of 46 years young) and it is just like being hit by a bus, then told you need to get up and run a marathon. Don’t get me wrong, the doctors tell you what’s happening to your body, but what they don’t prepare you for is everything else, the waiting, the mental gymnastics, the awkward willy conversations and the sheer weirdness of it all.
This Substack is where I spill the real stuff, no subject avoided:
💉 The blood tests that feel never-ending
😲 The things no one warns you about (but definitely should)
🎢 The emotional rollercoaster that doesn’t give a damn if you’re “done” with treatment
😂 The absurd, frustrating, and sometimes downright funny moments along the way
I started writing because I needed an outlet. Turns out, a lot of people need one too. This isn’t just about me, it’s a community for anyone dealing with this shit (or watching a loved one go through it) and needing for something other than the medical stuff.
So, if you want the unfiltered truth, a few laughs, and a place where you’re not alone in this, stick around.
Because no one should have to navigate this crap alone, so don’t be shy, get clicking that button above and subscribe.
Legal disclaimer: And no, I’m not a doctor, if you need medical advice, go ask someone with a stethoscope. I’m just here to tell you what actually happens when you get thrown into the deep end.
